One of the intentions of editing this series is to save readers' time and allow readers to acquire more knowledge in a shorter period of time. In the era of the information explosion, people have to learn too much. Tuition has become a regular need. If you are not good at tutoring, grab one from the east and one from the west, make up for this today and make up for that tomorrow, the effect may not be very good. If you think of reading as a tonic, you will lose the calmness and happiness you should have when reading. The length of each book in this series is small. Even if readers read carefully and appreciate it slowly, they will not spend much time and can fully enjoy the fun of reading. If you take them as a tonic, you can eat them. The small dose is convenient to eat and easy to digest.
We also have another intention, which is to do a bit of cultural accumulation. Collect and publish works that have passed the test of time and that readers agree with so that they will not be lost. Some books were once best-selling, but now they are not easily available  some books may not have attracted many people's attention at the time, but time has proved them to be of great value. Both types of books need to be unearthed to make them shine again. Science and technology books tend to be practical, and once outdated, there will not be too many readers, except for those who study history of science and technology. This is not the case for the humanities. There are many books that are frequently read and new. However, this series of books are not all reprints of old books. We also want to invite some famous scholars to write some new academic and popular small books to meet the increasing demand of readers.
The format of "Everyone's Little Book" is not large, so readers can put it in their pockets and read a few pages anytime and anywhere. When waiting for people on the side of the road, when queuing to buy theater tickets, in the car, in the park, you can read. Isn't it a good thing that there are more readers like this, and it will add some cultural color and learning atmosphere to the society?
"Everyone's Little Book" is about to be published. Comrades from the publishing house ordered me to write a preface to explain the whole story. Since this series of books indicates that the books are small, the preamble should of course be short. I've said everything that should be said, so let's put it aside.
