Description of
What is a Mathematical Function?: A review of concepts
This aim of this book is to review and strengthen the concept of mathematical functions, using a modern set-theory based setting. Notions such as continuity, differentiability and integrability are reviewed but this is not a complete course on calculus. A certain number of topics are discussed such as transforms, interpolation, symmetry and optimisation. The book should be of interest to people whose mathematics notions are old. The book concentrates more on concepts than proofs. Some concepts are illustrated with the freely available Geogebra tool. Read more
