Description of
Drill to Win: 12 Months to Better Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu
Andre Galvao has earned his awesome reputation as one of the best and most exciting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors and champions of all time. Now, he brings his battle tested and proven training methods to the general public with Drill to Win: 12 Months to Better Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu. If you want to move like Master Andre Galvao, submit like Galvao and win like Galvao, this is the right book for you. In this one-of-a-kind instruction manual, master Andre outlines both a one-year schedule to overall improvement as well as smaller game plans for short and mid term competition preparation. This is not your average reference book, but instead a step-by-step teaching guide to building a champion grappler. The key to this book is in its building block methodology that follows Andre Galvao's proper basics of grappling—the ability to move and adapt to new movements in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. So don't wait, pick up this great book and start the first day of your BJJ explosion! The book is broken up into 12 months. Each week is broken up into 5 days, assuming that you will train 5 days a week. Each day there are a series of drills that work on a specific part of your bjj game. Month 1 addresses your diet and month 12 is a “final exam”, so there are really 10 months of physical technique displayed in the book. This book is about 300 pages, but don’t try and read it all at once. It’s an instructional and should be taken in doses. Many of the drills are movement based and repetitious. These repetitions get your brain working and body building muscle memory. There are both solo drills as well as partner drills displayed throughout the book. Not all these drills are for beginners though, there are some advanced movements and balance based drills that require a Swiss ball. These balance drills will take many sessions to master, it’s not something you will be able to do in one session.
