Description of
EGIRLS, ECITIZENS (Law, Technology and Media)
A landmark work that explores the many forces that shape girls and young womens experiences of privacy, identity, and equality in our digitally networked society. This volume is the culmination of a labour of love more formally known as The eGirls Project, a three-year research initiative funded by a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) partnership development grant that began in 2011. We hope, however, that this ending is also a beginning an invitation to future research, education and policy initiatives, and grassroots activism aimed at ensuring substantively equal opportunities for girls and young women to participate in our digitally networked society.
