What a nice start to a new series. This is a marriage of convenience story with a twist. Conall who is the new Viscount Taunton, after his father’s death, he also inherited the title and the money problems of the estate along with it. He comes up with a plan to trade with the mills supplying the Alpacca wool which is unheard of for a man with a title. Enter Sofia who seems to be the only one willing to invest in this business endeavor. Sofia has dark secrets which are revealed throughout the book. Sofia and Conall are well suited. This book is well written story as it touches on many forbidden topics during the Victorian era. A definite page turner. I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
