Description of
The Other Miss Bridgerton: A Bridgertons Prequel
Julia Quinn is in my top five favorite authors of all time. I adore most of her books (with one or two exceptions, which I still liked, just didn't love), and this one was no different. I loved Poppy. It took me a while to figure out how she thought, because at first she did or said things that didn't totally correspond to what I would have expected, but once I found her slightly offbeat pace, she made sense. I like the the hero was a genuinely good person, with the notable exception of having kidnapped her, of course. I enjoyed the quirky secondary characters. All in all, once I started reading, I didn't want to stop. My only big question which remained unresolved throughout the book was, after a week or two wearing the same clothes and without bathing, how did Poppy not smell like a barnyard? I certainly would have!
