Love this series. I've read them all. History and entertainment. Start from 1st book in series. You won't be able to put them down. Waiting on book 9!! Yes, not history from an academic perspective. But like history in the oral era, the reader is drawn into a story and learns whether the like it or not. Great teaching tool to whet the appetite of history wonks like me.
