Description of
Regularization in Orbital Mechanics (De Gruyter Studies in Mathematical Physics, 42)
Regularized equations of motion can improve numerical integration for the propagation of orbits. This monograph discusses standard techniques and recent research in the area. While each scheme is derived analytically, its accuracy is investigated numerically. Eucledian and Minkowskian geometries are considered as well as applications, such as generalized logarithmic spirals, low-thrust trajectories and various new families of orbits. Read more
