The fake Dr. wanted the best for his son Scotty so he had him stay with his mother while he tried to get his new identity up to par and figure out a new business for himself, after being part of a bank robbery the fake Jesse found a new love interest in Sequoia who helped launch his new career Mc Shrink.com. The real Dr. just couldn't get over how the FBI didn't really want to help him much and was eventually told to change his own identity so he became an investigator and tried to solve his own case. Therefore being hired by Betsy to find her ex- boyfriend and real father of her son Scotty the real Dr. was onto something and so the story starts to unravel. I don't want to give to much away!!
