Description of  Military Small Arms Ammunition of the World, 1945-1980

It is hoped that this book will provide, under one cover, aids to the correct identification of ammunition by calibre and type, by origin, and with reference to the ballistics and performance of the cartridge concerned and to the main classes of weapons in which it is fired. Since a cut-off point is necessary if the information is to be contained within a handy format, the main portion of the book deals with ammunition and manufacturers from 1945 only, and is restricted to calibres under 20mm.
