Description of  Independent Bones: A Sarah Booth Delaney Mystery

I’ve read all of the Sarah Booth mysteries. They are always intriguing and engaging. And by now of course I’m very invested in the characters. In Independent Bones Haines takes on the “war on women” which in my mind is a very real thing. The mindset exists everywhere from rich and influential to college professors to good old boys to some misguided women. There’s danger, intrigue and a bit of the occult, with protective pets thrown in for good measure. I know I’d never be as adventurous as Sarah Booth but I can go there vicariously with her. It’s a wonderful series, well plotted and very well written. Independent Bones is a great read.
