Description of
At Bluebonnet Lake: A Novel (Texas Crossroads)
Inspirational. Four adults brought to a resort to change their lives all with the trust of God. This is a Christian romance with a modern couple and a vintage couple. Sally vacationed at Rainbow's End 50 years ago with her now deceased husband. Faced with medical issues she wants to revisit the place with her granddaughter. While relaxing and recharging she finds companionship in Roy, a local widow. Kate is a successful marketing guru in NYC determined to give her grandmother a wonderful vacation. While it takes her time to adjust to the slower pace she also finds companionship, with Greg. Greg has a few secrets he wants to keep close to his heart, not wanting to sway Kate's feelings for him. It's easy to become captured in their lives by their common trust in God that He brought them to the resort for a reason. Not slow moving at all the story moves quickly between both couples as we learn about the town, their hopes and need to be revitalized. It appears there will be a second story about Marisa, Carmen the cook's daughter. I received a copy by Netgalley for an honest review, it was a pleasure to read.
