Description of
Destiny's Captive
Beverly Jenkins did not disappoint on this book! I purchased the long anticipated Destiny’s Captive a few days ago and finished reading the book in one setting. In my opinion this is Ms. Beverly’s deepest and perhaps one of her darkest books. She went above and beyond and tied up the loose ends on Alanza and Max’s relationship. They finally got their long awaited and well deserved happily ever after. We also got a glimpse into Mariah, Logan, Billie and Andrew’s lives. Then Ms. Beverly, stepped outside the box with Noah, the last unmarried Yates son. She shed light on the dark secret Noah carries around for years, an issue that’s become much too common in the current day. At the beginning of the book the feisty pirate lady Pilar, kidnaps Noah in order to steal his boat to buy and retrieve guns from smugglers. She ends marrying Noah and loving him unconditionally which ultimately gives him the courage to face his demons. I loved this book and plan on reading it again, very soon. Thank you Ms. Beverly for your history lessons and entertaining stories.
