Kinsley Felton is on her way to jail for fraud and money laundering, and the man she loves, Killian Brown is really Killian Bryne the FBI agent who has infiltrated her family's business and found major evidence against her now deceased father, and her elderly and ill grandfather. Kinsley is positive that there must be a mistake. Even when the FBI offers her a deal to rat on her grandfather she is convinced this is all a huge mistake. Killian is furious that the FBI have arrested Kinsley, and he knows he no longer can be with her or he will have to give up his career with the FBI. All that doesn't stop him from loving and wanting Kinsley or trying to save her from herself. He gives her sheaves of paperwork to verify what he is trying to tell her. Confronting her grandfather was no use, he continued to lie to her. She is so disillusioned with her family, and it hurts Killian to see her so adrift. Killian continues to dig up evidence on Kinsley's father and grandfather, and keep her out of danger, but it is getting harder and harder for him to do without crossing and blurring more lines between the FBI Killian or the Killian that loves Kinsley and cares nothing about her family's illegal activities. This is a great, suspenseful read! Killian is trying to make things right, and Kinsley is trying to wise up, make good choices, and forget the pain her family has caused all her life!
