Description of
A-20 Boston at War
Although built by the U.S. Douglas corporation, the A-20 "Boston" got its name and had some of its finest moments in British service. The first Bostons arrived in England during the Battle of Britain, when aircraft of all sorts were in short supply. It proved to be one of the best light bombers of the war, serving on nearly all fronts and with most of the Allies. Due to its superior bomb-aimer, Bostons led formations of more modern bombers even in the last months of the war. This is the story of the A-20 Boston aircraft and its deritatives which saw service well into the 1960'. Fully illustrated with b/w photographs plus line drawings.
